Actually, we didn't plan to travel in 2004. However, after spending the first day of CNY doing nothing, we decided to go somewhere. Here comes the problem: it's Chinese New Year! Everyone is off including travel agency! But since we're doing fxxk all, so Percy found the yellow page online and started to phone all the travel agency in Taipei. I think I phoned almost 100 agency, just when I was about to give up, I found one. The guy as overworking cuz one of the group to Bali has been canceled, so we took the chance and book a package. Thank god the Arrival Visa was open until March 2004.
This is my first time to Bali, but it was Pat's second time, so he is quite familiar with the must know information. We spent 6 days there, since we got the package in the last min, and we spent two more days at the hotel, the cost of this trip... not very economic...we dare not to count. We stayed in Kuta area for the whole time, hired a driver from the road (Got lucky to get a decent one..., most people don't recommend to do that ) and requested him to take us to places "we want" only. So we visited Ubud and some other towns. After a day walking in Ubud, we went to a Spa recommended by Lonely Planet. I forgot to take the picture of the place but it's really worthy, by far the best massage I've ever had. I was quite inexpensive, it cost me less than 600 NT including a nice tip. The other thing I couldn't forget is the dinner that I had on the second day. We found a nice restaurant in Kuta, it's right beside the main road, with a nice garden. I ordered Deep Fried Fish with Sweet & Sour Sauce. Delish!! The fish was so fried even the bone was crispy. I cleaned the dish literally. The waiter was so stunned and Pat was busy acting like he didn't know me.
Bali is really a nice place for vacation. unfortunately there were too many bombing incidents that keep people nervous while being there.
其實PP2004年是不準備出國的，不過新年在家過了一天之後，發覺好像都沒甚麼事情，不如出國玩好了...哈! XD
不過問題來了，過年大家都放假，哪裡還有旅行社在上班阿!?結果Percy就只好在網路上找出黃簿，一間一間打，大概打了將近快一百間吧~終於最後找到了在大亞百貨上的一間旅行社，剛剛好有一團去峇里島的人取消，位置空出來~PP就趁機補了進去。還好峇里島可以落地簽到2004年三月，不然這下可慘~
這次是Percy第一次去峇里島，不過Pat是第二次來，所以地理位置他都熟。行程總共是六天五夜，因為是最後一秒的機+酒訂位，又加上續住了兩晚，總消費...PP不敢算...= =。總之不是一個很經濟的旅程~六天我們都是住在Kuta區，中間有請了一個司機載我們上山，並且到Ubud古城。Percy沒有拍到照片，不過在Ubud走了一天之後，PP來到Lonely Planet上推薦的一間Spa，那一個小時的全身按摩只有一個字可以形容 "酥"，是我有記憶以來，最讚的一次按摩，而且~加上很不錯的小費也才折合台幣不到600元。另外讓我流連忘返的還有第二天晚上吃到的糖醋魚，炸到連骨頭都酥脆的中魚，淋上多種青菜一起勾芡出來、黃金紅的糖醋醬，極品! 我還整隻魚帶骨頭吃個精光~服務生看到嚇到，Pat則連忙說我不認識他......。
峇里島真的是一個不錯的地方，不過很可惜的是有多次恐怖份子放鞭炮事件...真的會把大家搞得緊張兮兮。
